Who it is for

Ingence reads a research folder, and different people come to it with different questions. Each page here starts from one of them and points to the pages that answer it. They do not repeat the concept pages; they say which parts matter to you.

• For a researcher: you have your own data, in your own folders, and you want to know what is in them.

• For a laboratory head: you look after a whole laboratory’s files, and you want to see the laboratory as one body of work across its people, projects and years.

• For research IT and data stewards: you decide whether Ingence may run on a managed machine, and you need to know what it touches, writes and sends.

Ingence is a pre-alpha. About says what that means, and What the evaluation says says what has and has not been measured.
