A folder is taken as one experiment when it holds an instrument’s raw files together with files named after them, such as drift-corrected copies and results tables, and no folder above it holds the same ones, or as one session’s raw files when it holds only those, or as an analysis when it holds only files named after raw files kept elsewhere, or as an analysis when it holds one program’s many folders side by side, one per movie or cell, each with the same few files, all without reading what any word means.
