ingence fix#

This page is generated from the code and must not be edited by hand.

Diagnose a project and report what is repairable.

Reports rather than repairs by default. A tool that silently fixes things is a tool nobody can reason about, and the most common finding here is an abandoned staging directory, which is harmless and deleting it without saying so would hide that a run was interrupted.

Options

Option

Type

Default

What it does

--project, -p

path

none

Project directory.

--verify

switch

off

Compare the two most recent runs for determinism.

--set-aside-old-rules

switch

off

Move an older project’s rules file, no longer read, into rulebook/retired/, keeping your choices in it.

--shareable

switch

off

Print the same report with the project, each root, each exclusion pattern you wrote and each run written as <project>, <root 1>, <pattern 1> and <run 1>, and with the sample rows of –verify left out, so that you can paste it into an email. A value you typed into an older project’s rules file is also written <pattern 1>.
